LEAD pAINt Visual Inspection Prep
The visual lead inspector will inspect all Interior and Exterior surfaces for Peeling, Chipping, and flaking paint.
Below is a list of common areas to check for peeling, chipping, and flaking paint prior to the inspection.
Exterior Surfaces include:
Walls, Windows and Trim, Doors, Frames and Trim, Soffit, Facia, Gutters, Down Spouts, Porches, Post, Ceilings, Railings, and Steps. Any outbuildings & structures that are accessible to the tenant.
Interior Surfaces include:
All six (6) sides of each room. Walls, Ceilings, Floors, Doors and Trim, Baseboards, Windows, Trim Sills and Wells (window well is trough area between the sill and the storm window.)
Prior to the Inspection:
Prior to Inspection, or right before the inspection in cases where storm windows are not present, clean with soap solution and paper towels. Also, ensure floors are clean and free from dust.
