Baltimore Rental License Inspections
On August 1, 2018, a new law took effect requiring all Baltimore City rental properties, including one- and two-family and multi-family dwellings, to be licensed to operate as a rental by January 1, 2019. Click HERE to access the Baltimore City Code, Article 13. In order to receive a license from the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) the property must meet two requirements:
1) be registered with DHCD using the online portal and
2) be inspected by a State Licensed, Baltimore City registered Home Inspector. That’s Us!
We will inspect the property upon passing the inspection we will provide you with a copy of the inspection report. If the property fails the inspection, we will provide you with a verbal consultation of what issues need to be addressed before the property can pass a rental license inspection. We will then re-inspect the property after all issues are addressed for a fee.
Upon completion of a successful inspection, we can also assist you with uploading the inspection report to complete your licensing
